Growing family...

We are now entering week 37 of Baby McDonald's "tummy life", and I'm more than ready for her to get out...and from the way it feels, she's ready to get out too. She's getting heavy, weighing somewhere around 5 1/2 pounds, and is approximately 19 inches long. We visit the doctor every week now, and every appointment is the same..."you're fine, the baby's fine, we'll see you next week!"

Aaron and I continue to scramble to get things ready for the arrival of our little girl. There are still quite a few things that we need to buy before she gets here (including a crib), but our financial resources are still lacking. Though we can't help but worry, we realize that God has blessed us immensly thus far, and feel that he will continue to do so. Please keep our financial situation in your prayers.

As I mentioned in my last post, Aaron was seeking employment at the Wal*Mart Distrabution Center here in Moberly. After 3 interviews and a drug test, I am happy to report that Aaron is no longer seeking employment! He will go through a week long orientation (August 22-25), after which he will begin his new job. Until then, Aaron will continue roofing with those Beaversons - pray for cool weather.

I must, once again, make a confession...I stole another cat. Aaron and I were at my parent's house on Sunday doing our laundry, when some friends of the family rode up the driveway on their 4-wheeler, carrying with them 2 tiny kittens. They had found them in the middle of the road, crying and wondering aimlessly. Since my parents/uncle own a nice amount of land outside of the city, they have become a sort of "cat orphanage," and one of these kittens was going to be added to the growing cat collection (our friends decided to keep the other one). When Aaron and I were getting ready to leave that night, I discovered the kitten crying in the garage, and couldn't help but feel sorry for it...it's not even old enough to be away from its mother, I couldn't just leave it all alone! So, I took the kitten home with me, where he has been living for a week now. He is a very well mannered cat, and has only missed the litterbox once. He is also quite entertaining...he enjoys taking baths with me, brushing my hair with his claws, and cuddling with me while he sleeps. Even Jack (our other cat) enjoys having him around, and has stepped in as the little guy's father - they've become quite the pair.

Please continue to keep Aaron, Baby, and me in your prayers. We thank you for your prayers thus far...we know that at least some of you are praying, because God's continued to do so much for our growing family!

That's annoying...I wish I could delete that comment. Anyways, Caleb, I am a dog person as well, but we technically aren't supposed to have ANY pets at our house (oops) so I am satisfied with our cats for now.
